15 октября 2010 года на факультете мировой экономики и мировой политики состоится семинар «CROSS CULTURAL STRATEGIES FOR LIVING AND STUDYING IN AN INTERNATIONAL ENVIRONMENT». Ведущий семинара - James Banner, International Officer at Kent University.

The seminar is a celebration of some of the differences in international cultures in terms of etiquette, hygiene, forms of greetings, body language, food and drink.

The seminar will also explore how these differences can lead to misunderstanding, and suggest a cross-cultural strategy for working in an international environment.

James Banner has extensive experience of teaching and training internationally as Director of External Courses at Hilderstone College and Director of the RSA Diploma in Teaching Foreign Languages to Adults. He ran a Certificate Programme in TFLA for Hilderstone College in conjunction with Kent University and directed programmes in English For Academic Purposes for the Kent Institute of Art and Design and for Imperial College, Wye. He has published articles in language teaching and culture and is author of Longmans-Langenscheidt’s Language Corner.
